This last year has been like no other for all of us, universally. We now know the world to be far more unstable and uncertain than we ever realized. It has become part of our collective shared humanity. The scars in the world’s education system as a result of this year go deep but at the same time we have a once in a life time opportunity to both recover, renew and reimagine our schools, and create a Covid legacy that will have a lasting positive impact. There is evidence that the more connected a system is the more it is able to withstand shock, recover well, and cultivate collaborative resilience. The more connected we are with our inner world as leaders and understand how we cultivate our own personal resilience has also been seen to directly influence the resilience of our teams and organisations. As we reimagine our school system and ‘ grow back stronger’ what role will resilience play in this? This workshop will explore what ‘resilience for change’ is and how we can cultivation resilience at individual, organisational and partnership level.
