SPECIAL WORKSHOP WITH LIZ ROBINSON, CO-DIRECTOR, BIG EDUCATION January 27 4pm WHAT ELSE, WHAT NEXT, WHAT IF? Asking bigger questions to achieve a bigger education. The aspiration to create a ‘bigger education’ is wonderful, and, in our experience, one that can powerfully reconnect leaders and teachers with their purpose and motivation. And then reality can hit. Achieving this and putting it into action can be challenging, especially given the high stakes accountability culture we have in the English context. Trying new things, or even old things, can feel risky. Anything other than optimising solely for exam outcomes can feel fool-hardy. Focusing both on high standards in core academics and a more expansive offer can seem a lot to take on. This online workshop will explore what constitutes a more expansive education and how to work with all stakeholders in your school to ask bigger and bolder questions about the future.
