This session will be about sharing learnings from an ongoing Pan-European research project, Make it Open dedicated to the sustainability of schools through Open Schooling and maker education. Primary and Secondary schools can join during during this school year. For details see: bit.ly/makeitopenforth It will also include an introduction to the award winning Fixperts programme, a hands-on, pro-social design learning programme for universities and schools. New resources for both programmes will be shared. Daniel has devised and delivered courses, workshops, think-tanks, seminars and talks internationally including in China, Denmark, Spain, Turkey and Mexico. As expert advisor I contribute to EU research projects including the Horizon2020 CAPS MAKE-IT, Creative Europe Fund DDMP He is a member of The Design Museum Curatorial Committee and Honorary Senior Research Fellow at the V&A Museum. He will discussthe development of new formats for learning and engagement alongside Fixperts for schools. These programmes are developed and run by Forth, a community interest company who believe in the power of creativity as a tool for social change, as well as Make It Open an EU Comission research project for open schooling through science learning and maker education.
