Nick Lewis has been Principal at Fairfield High School in Bristol, since 2016 and from September 2022 he will be the interim CEO of Gatehouse Green Learning Trust as GGLT and his home trust, Excalibur explore working more closely together. He has over 29 years educational experience of working in Islington, Camden and Hackney in London and various Bristol schools, including a secondment as a primary head.

Nick holds NPQH and is currently a member of the National Careers and Enterprise Leadership Advisor Group. He has previously contributed to DfE National Strategy resource development for raising African Caribbean achievement and featured in the NCSL Leaders magazine. Nick has also presented to a variety of national, local, and regional conferences on learning strategy, the importance of valuing diversity in education and of the value of promoting employability for students.

Nick has worked with school leaders and principals in a range of contexts across the Southwest region to support school improvement, often with a focus on pupil premium and disadvantage.
