Paul has a wide range of experience having been in education for over thirty years with over 20 years in senior leadership positions. He has been Headteacher in three schools, a First School, a Primary and St Barnabas, which is a First & Middle School.

Paul was Headteacher of St Barnabas CE First & Middle School in Worcestershire for 9 years. During that time the school has become a Regional Training centre for Apple and is at the forefront of the application of new technology in education.

Paul has a wide range of experience in supporting the development of leadership at all levels and was an early advisor to Governors for performance management of headteachers. Paul’s strength is in developing effective leadership teams across schools leading to effective change and ownership.
He also has successfully worked with several schools across Europe at part of Comenius and Erasmus+ projects and coordinated pupil led projects on themes such as early foreign language learning, environmental issues and pupil leadership.

Paul has always believed that the well being of staff and pupils is at the heart of a successful school and has introduced many successful strategies to support this aspect of school life, supporting other schools to do the same. St Barnabas is well known for its effective transition programmes supporting children into the Middle School at Year 5 and leavers into High School in Year 8.

In December 2018 he took up an independent role supporting school leadership and development.
