Schools of Tomorrow

Redefining Outstanding

A member-owned social enterprise open to all schools seeking values-led, research-informed change who share a broader understanding of school purpose and quality based on the  Four Quadrant Framework, and commit to research and development, long-term partnership and peer support, in order to embed this deep into their practice.

The Schools of Tomorrow Framework

Our approach is built round the Schools of Tomorrow Framework, which was launched at the RSA in October 2013. It was developed by school leaders drawing on a secure base of research evidence and values.

Truly outstanding schools will demonstrate outstanding performance in more than academic achievement. They address all four quadrants of the Framework. That’s what our students deserve, and we believe we need to be accountable for that, helping others to see its significance too.

Schools of Tomorrow Publications

During 2014-15, Schools of Tomorrow worked to support this vision with a series of publications, school-based research and a linked programme of activities and events

In 2015 we moved into a new phase of activity, working with our partners, ASCL, Momentum World and SSAT, and supported by The Fore Trust, to create a new approach to quality assurance for Schools of Tomorrow. This has  grown into the Schools of Tomorrow Fellowship. We believe it is time for schools to assert and use creatively the freedoms they have been given to secure the best future for their students.
